چکیده
Family groups with cubs-of-the-year (cubs) in Finland's brown bear Ursus arctos population are protected from hunting, but sport hunters inadvertently shoot some cubs almost every year. In our data, 39 of 1463 bears hunting bags (and all 1503 shot bears) during 1996–2018 were cubs. Mortality owing to inadvertent shooting by was estimated be relatively low (ca 8%) and therefore above an ethical problem. The authors review research on police effectiveness in reducing crime, disorder, and fear in the context of a typology of innovation in police practices. That typology emphasizes two dimensions: one concerning the diversity of approaches, and the other, the level of focus. The authors find that little evidence supports the standard model of policing—low on both of these dimensions. In contrast,...

1 Testing in an Integrated Circuitry Since the existence of integrated circuitries, there has been the necessity to check their functions. In the case of digital circuitries, a test is quite simple: all possible test vectors are applied in succession, and then the circuitries’ reactions at the outputs (actual value) are compared to the expected patterns (nominal value). If there are no differen...
